Super Bowl Sunday

We had our annual super bowl sunday party at my parents house. My mom was exhausted from planning my grandparents anniversary party so I helped make some appetizers & desserts. My new hobby is finding new recipes & making them. For dessert I made peanut butter cup brownies, graham cracker cupcakes w/ key lime frosting, & pie sticks. My lucky family got to try them....needless to say they weren't all a hit! haha, thats okay, I was proud of my creations. We had a good time, and as usual ate way too much food.

9 Months Old

Beckett turned 9 months old today! Here is an update on Mr. B:

-20 lbs (50%)

-29 1/2" (90%)

-Crawls everywhere!
-Starting to climb up things...like stairs and our fireplace
-Can stand up and walk around tables/chairs/etc
-Has his 2 top teeth & 2 bottom teeth
-Loves his baby snacks (baby cheetos and cheerios)
-Is starting to eat baby meat but likes fruit a lot more!
-Loves to laugh, he thinks its so funny when he hangs upside down
-Loves to be thrown up into the air or hund upside down by his dad

Beckett is so happy, mellow, and all boy! We love him!

50th Wedding Anniversary

My grandma & grandpa Petersen just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They are the best grandparents ever and we had a awesome time celebrating. Their kids (my mom, Gina, & Shelly) all threw them a huge bash at the Ogden Country Club. Tons and tons of my grandparent's friends came to celebrate with them. There was live music, delicious food, cake, fun pictures, and some toasts. Here are a few pictures of the party, unfortunatley a bunch of them came out blurry....ugh!

Beckett is such a fun baby, I can hardly stand it. He has been cruising and crawling around everywhere lately! His newest obsession is playing with the dog kennel....or anything else in the house besides his toys, figures. He can stand up and walk around things. It's only a matter of time before he starts walking, and rocks our world. He smiles constantly and is such a happy boy. Unfortunately he has had chronic ear infections and has to get tubes put in next week. Thus far he has been a real trooper. We love our baby B!

8 Months Old

Beckett turned 8 months yesterday! He is growing, growing, growing. I weighed him yesterday and he is around 21 pounds. I won't know the EXACT stats until his doctor's apppointment next month.

Besides the growing, Beckett is developing and doing new things like crazy. This past week he basically mastered crawling & standing up by himself on the same day. Things are going to start getting awfully crazy around here. He can get where he wants to get and loves trying to crawl & get into things. He also loves to stand up and try to get things off of the coffee table. The only problem right now, is that he tries to use his toys as leverage to help him stand up.....and when he weighs more than his toys it doesn't turn out so well.

Beckett is really getting into his finger foods. Loves his baby food too-he doesn't seem to have any dislikes...mostly likes them all....as you can tell :) He smiles & laughs a lot. At least once a day, he really gets going and laughs and laughs and laughs. Its the best.

Christmas in Orangeville.

We went down to Orangeville for 4 days last week to celebrate Christmas with the Sharp side of the fam. We had a very fun, busy time and ate WAY too much food. While we were there we: opened presents, celebrated Josh's 27th Birthday, had josh's favorite dinner of fried chicken, went bowling, went swimming at the wave pool, celebrated New Years Eve with a delicious prime rib dinner, and ended our stay with our nephew Crue's Baptism.

Beckett's First Christmas

Beckett has officially experienced his first Christmas, and I must say he had a fabulous time. Beckett got TOTALLY spoiled-and we haven't even gone to Orangeville to visit the Sharp side yet!! On Christmas Eve we went to my parent's house for dinner with the Stapley side. We woke up BRIGHT and early Christmas morning (thanks to B). Beckett helped open all of his presents, which he has been playing with like crazy. Josh made a beautiful, big toy box for Beckett....which has been great with all of the new toys he got. After our Christmas morning at home we went to church and then did Christmas at my parents. Christmas evening we went to my grandma's house for her big Christmas dinner, so delicious. Overall it was a fabulous, awesome, fun, Chrismas....filled with lots of family, food, and presents :)

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year....and I don't hide it! We have had a lot of fun so far, and there is more to come. We have been to see the lights at Temple Square with the Sharpies, B met Santa for the first time, aaaand B turned 7 months old!

This year we spent our Thanksgiving in Orangeville. It was Beckett's 1st Thanksgiving! We gave B a little taste of mashed potatoes, oh was that a bad idea. He had the most awful look on his little face when he tasted them and then gagged to the point where I thought he was going to throw up. Poor guy, but he got over it quick. We also ran the Huntington Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning, our 2nd time. It was cold-but a good way to start the day! Our Thanksgiving dinner was delicious....of course! Now we are ready to enjoy the rest of this break and do some SERIOUS relaxing :)

Baby B is officially 6 months old....halfway to a year. He is the absolute best boy we could have ever asked for. He is sturdy and 100% boy. He smiles & laughs anytime he gets to be rolled around or thrown in the air. He is getting better at sitting up, can move better on his tummy (not quite crawling yet), and got his 2 bottoms teeth! He has his 6 month old dr's appt tomorrow so we'll see what his stats are-but I know that he is still growing like a weed.....we can barely keep up!

Christmas Crafts

I have completed my christmas crafts for this year. So fun, I love doing this kind of stuff-i'm a girl :)

Again, I got the wood cut-outs from The Wood Connection. I painted & glued paper onto the Christmas trees, finishing with ribbon. I painted the nativity set black, sand papered the edges & added some straw.

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year! It's fun to do these types of things so that I get to enjoy it before December rolls around.

Girls Night Out....my mom, Bree & I got to go to the Taylor Swift World Tour Concert last week. It was fab. It was more like a broadway play than a concert though, which I liked since I have a bit of ADD. She was good and awesome at all the instruments she played. Good time. Thanks mom! :)

My baby is 5 months old! Oh how the months have FLOWN by. He is getting so big, in fact, today he wore a sweatshirt that was an 18 month size! hahaha, just like his parents, big boy.

He is also developing like crazy. He is starting to sit up (uses his hands to balance) and is getting better at it daily. He is starting to bear weight on his hands while on his tummy instead of just on his elbows....pretty soon we'll have a crazy crawler. His laugh is adorable & he is the best.

2 Year Anniversary

I can't believe it but we celebrated our 2 year anniversary this weekend. Its been an eventful 2 years & here we are with a beautiful little baby :)

Josh spoiled me and took me to Park City for the weekend to celebrate. It was awesome, he got us a suite at a park city hotel.....we shopped on Main Street & the Outlets and had some nummy dinner at the Blue Iguana. The best part? A full nights sleep! woo hoo! My parents are the best....they watched Beckett for us. It was good to get a full nights sleep but we totally missed him and talked about him the whole time we were away.

Here is to a fabulous 2 years and a billion to go!

Fall Crafty Crafts

I have been crafting my little heart out this weekend. I love doing this kind of stuff! So to all those crafters out there I have the best information (if you don't already know). I discovered this shop in Murray called, 'The Wood Connection'. It's awesome! They have all the wooden crafts & craft ideas you'd ever need. Tons of wooden block letters & cute house decor ideas, I was in heaven. They have wooden block ideas for every season/holiday. What they do is you can buy things seperately but if you like one of their ideas you can buy the set of letters & then get the rest of your supplies in their shop (paper, glue, paint, modge podge, brushes, etc).

I needed some more fall holiday decor so I bought their set to make 'Harvest' as well as 2 wooden pumpkins & a wooden picture block.

I painted & modge podged paper onto the block letters, finishing with ribbon. I painted & glued the pumpkins together, topping off with aging varnish. Then I just modge podged the picture block w/ a little ribbon for Beckett Boy's room.

4 months old!

I can't believe it, my baby is now 4 months old. He is a growing, happy boy to say the least! We went to the doctor earlier this week, here are his 4 month old stats:

Height: 26 1/2" (95%)

Weight: 16 lbs (75%)

He is a tall boy, to no suprise. He has also been developing like crazy this past month! He now can grab, touch, and reach for his toys. He is so aware of his surroundings. He is finally noticing the dog & stares at him as Romeo walks around. He is very happy and smiles all the time & has been a maniac in his jumper toy we got (pic below). He is getting good at sitting & standing up, just needs to work on his balance. Beckett also love loves to slobber & he discovered his feet which he loves to chew on! Beckett is the love of our life, we love everything about him! Below are some adorable pictures of Baby B from the past few weeks (yes, I might have a small picture problem....but I can't help it....he's adorable!)

Labor Day Weekend

We very much enjoyed out Labor Day Weekend. NO WORK OR SCHOOL! You can't get much better that. We got to relax & spend some good time together as a family. On Monday we headed up to Wellsville (next to Logan) to enjoy the towns parade & 'Sham Battle'. Josh's family has gone this every year as a tradition because that is where is mother & grandparents are from.....this year was my first. It was fun and the Sham Battle was quite the experience. Basically they redo the battle between the first settlers in Wellsville and the Indians....they even burn a fake little wood cabin. It doesn't get more authentic than that! By the end of the day Beckett Boy was pooped out....check out the picture in his carseat. He totally fell asleep while sucking on my finger (he enjoys it & I let him do it when its the only thing that will satisfy him).

We also spent a day at the Ogden Country Club....we had brunch & spent the afternoon in the sun. It was wonderful & B's first time swimmin!

White Coat Ceremony

Josh had his Roseman University Whitecoat Ceremony on the 19th at the Sandy Country Club. What is a whitecoat ceremony you ask? Well i'm not entirely sure why they do it but its basically your induction into medical school (that's what Josh said).

It was fun, he has his white coat now, they had a lot of good speakers....here is to the next 4 years!

Maine! We just got back from a fabulous family vacation to Maine. We stayed in an amazing beach house right in a cute little cove. I'll summarize what we did...

-shopped around in Portland & at the outlets & L.L. Bean store in Freeport
-ate fabulous seafood
-Beckett touched the ocean for the first time
-visited a few light houses
-Josh, Trev & Aunt Gina ran the Beach to Beacon 10k
-Lobsterfest: had a huge lobster cook-out at our beach house (Josh ate 4!)
-rode the ferry to Peaks Island
-had fun and relaxed! :)

Baby B is 3 months old! I can't believe it....time is passing us by way too fast.

Beckett is a big, growing, happy boy. According to our measurements (which are probably a little inaccurate), we believe he is about 15 lbs now & 26" long. He has been developing like he should-grasping objects, smiling & making lots of noises, and he love loves to put his hands in his mouth. We love him.

Orangeville Weekend

This weekend we went down to enjoy the fabulocity of Orangeville, Utah. It was Orangeville Days this weekend and so we had a lot to do. Friday night we enjoyed some Lamb Fry & Auction, followed by a pig catching contest. Yes, I said a pig catching contest. They threw out the 25 and older category, after much convincing we got Josh to go out. Guess what? Josh caught the pig & won! Yeah baby, thats why I married him. I always wanted a man that can bring home the bacon ;)

Saturday morning we ran the Orangeville 5k. Josh got 4th place overall-yay! It was fun, but more difficult in my opinion because the altitude is higher down there. We then had breakfast at the park, watched the parade, went boating & finished up with dinner at the park. It was a fully-packed weekend for sure & another good time in the E.C.

Birthdays & Lagoon

Well, i'm getting "up there in age" as my grandpa Pete said. Trevor & I turned 24 last week. I had a fabulous day thanks to my boys. Josh took me shopping on my birthday....what more could a girl ask for?! We also went to Moochie's for lunch, delicious, and then met up with my family & twinner for our birthday dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. It was a fabulous day.

Saturday my dad's company had a family Lagoon Day. I used to go to Lagoon all the time but hadn't been in a few years, so it was good to go back. We had some lunch, rode a few rides, watched a acrobatic show, had a good time. Unfortunately, i'm getting weak in my old age. I got kinda sick after riding my first ride. Dang it. But Beckett Boy had a good time-slept most of the day :) He is the best & cutest boy ever.

4th of July Weekend

Our 4th of July weekend was busy, busy, busy & full of a few crazy stories. Josh, Beckett & I stayed at my parents house Friday night because we were getting up early the next morning for a 5K. Then we had a problem arise. We put our dog, Romeo, in the backyard & when we went to check on him we realized he had escaped because one of the gates was left open. We started looking for him around the neighborhood but knew it would be hard to find him because he had been acting crazy lately due to the fireworks. I finally thought I heard him barking a block away so I hopped on my sisters bike & rode towards the noise. A jogger stopped & asked if I was looking for a dog, told her yes & she directed me towards a police officer who was trying to catch him. I flagged the police officer down....the police officer then proceeded to tell me that my dog was running everywhere like a mad man & ran right into a car going 25 mph. Before I could freak out I look into the officers back seat....and there is Romeo.....staring at me through the window. The little dog was lucky, he had no scratches, no injuries & was just fine.

Saturday morning (July 2nd) Josh, my Aunt Gina & I got up early and ran the Centerville 5K. There were a lot of people there and it was really fun. I'm not a big runner but I did well and was proud of myself :)
Later that morning we all went to the Centerville Parade, our tradition. It was fun & we had a good time! After the parade we had problem #2. We put Romeo in the backyard again while we all went to get breakfast. We came back (both gates were closed this time) but he had escaped yet again! I thought for sure we wouldn't find him this time-either hit by a car, picked up by the pound, or lost forever. We looked for him again with the help of my cousins. My cousins ended up finding him around the corner. Apparently he was thirsty & tried to get a drink out of a neighbors pool. While attempting this he ended up falling in. The house owners saw him half drowning in the pool & pulled him out. He ran out to the front yard of the house soaking wet & thats when my cousins saw him. That dang dog......

To continue our busy weekend we had Baby Beckett blessed on Sunday.

Monday, July 4th, we went up to the Ogden Country Club to do a little swimming. We had to leave a bit early because it was windy & rainy....not ideal for a baby. We decided to run over to the Sandy 4th of July Festival to check it out since we are Sandy citizens now. We got there right in time for the parade....which was really fun & then went to the festival afterwards. Check out Baby B, he fell asleep at the parade of course & wanted to show his patriotism :)

So that was our busy 4th of July weekend! Can't wait til next year :)

Beckett's Blessing

Beckett boy got blessed yesterday, July 3rd. It was a very good day & everything turned out well. All of our family was able to make it to the blessing & it made for the perfect day. Beckett was a very good boy & handsome in his blessing outfit :)

It was blazing hot but we still had a good time afterwards eating tons of food! Beck had a good time but by the end of our eating fest he was pooooooped out (as you can see in the picture below of him passed out on my lap). Beckett is happy & healthy and thats all we could ask for!

Baby B Update

Well, my baby boy is growing up! He went in for his 2 month appointment today and we got him checked out, weighed, measured & vaccinated. It was so sad seeing him get his shots....he was screaming and he sounded like it hurt so much. I felt bad for the poor little guy. He also ended up getting a perscription for acid reflux. He is a good little guy & will be doing better very soon once his medicine kicks in! He has also been doing some new things, cooing & making noises which is adorable, I love it. He is much more alert & we can get him to smile all the time, we even got him to half-laugh once! He has started using his hands more & loves putting them in his mouth.

Sharp Family Vacation 2011

Well it's that time again....time for vacations.

This year the Sharp Family Reunion was at the Olsen Ranch up by Joe's Valley (near Orangeville). There are a bunch of cabins on the ranch & thats where everyone stayed. Josh & I were the exception....we drove down & stayed at Josh's parents house every night since Beckett is still so little. We had a ton of fun out there & got lots of time in the sun. Well, we've hit another milestone. Josh got to celebrate his first fathers day yesterday. Josh is the best dad & they are adorable together. They got to hang out together all day & then we went to my grandma's for dinner....the yearly tradition. Baby B is getting so big & is doing new things everyday. I can't believe how fast he is growing!

Bald Baby

We have reached one of the baby milestones....first haircut.

Baby Beck was born with hair, however, a few weeks ago he started going bald. Not like all over bald....but old man bald.....just lost his hair on top. Due to him looking a bit like a 70 yr old balding man we decided to cut it off so that it can all grow back the same length.

Josh buzzed it with his mini clippers & Beckett was a very good boy-and as always he is the cutest ever.

Baby B is 1 month old today! Nutso!

He is getting so big, I can't believe how much he has changed since he was born. Beckett is definitely an eater, he loves his food & has to have it as soon as he is hungry! He is getting big and starting to get chubbier cheeks :) He is also focusing a lot more with his eyes. He loves staring out the window & at our faces. I can't wait until he starts to smile...that'll be awesome. He smiles now, but he doesn't know he is smiling....so it doesn't count.

New Job!

I am super excited to announce that I got offered a teaching job! I will be the new health teacher at Hillcrest Junior High in Murray.

I couldn't be happier to start my career & everything has been working out perfectly for us. This particular teaching job was part time and with Beckett being so little I really wanted part time, which is hard to find in the teaching world. To my luck I got an interview & then got offered the job. I'll start this August for the 2011-12 school year. Until then i'll be enjoying my mommy-Beckett time at home :)

Beckett is just over 3 weeks old now. I can't believe it, he really has changed so much. His looks change daily and he is growing so fast. At his two week appointment he had already almost put on a pound (8 lbs 11 oz)...he loves eating....just like his mom & dad :) He is also very strong- when we lay him on his tummy he has been able to move his head from one side to the other since he was just over a week old.

This weekend we went to Orangeville & it was Beckett's first time. We enjoyed our time relaxing, visiting the cemetary, and having a family BBQ.

Beckett Todd Sharp

Our baby is finally here! I was quite nervous/anxious for the labor experience before hand but it went much better than expected. I woke up around 12:30 a.m. on the 6th with some pain....woke Josh up & we started timing the contractions. We decided they were real contractions because they weren't letting up and getting closer together. We got to the hospital around 5 a.m. & by about 6 a.m. they had admitted me....and got the epidural. The contractions had gotten super bad by the time we were at the hospital so I was more than happy for the epidural to kick in. I'll say it now & i'll say it again-epidurals were sent from heaven.

So here I am, getting an epidural & the nurse gives me a rough estimate that I should be ready to start pushing around noon. Nope, she came in at 8:30, checked me, said I was ready & that they'd call the doctor in. It was then I started getting freaked out-it was happening! I pushed for 15 minutes & baby Beckett was born at 9:02 a.m.! It was surreal and awesome to see him for the first time. Labor was not what I expected...mostly because it happened so quickly & because that epidural was so fantastic :)

We all came home from the hospital on Sunday, the 8th. Ever since then its been a definite learning experience. You don't know what to expect being first time parents so everyday is a new day. We're loving it & trying to get enough sleep to survive the days!

The Latest

Life has been crazy lately! We moved a few weeks ago and have been getting settled ever since. We ended up moving to Sandy so that we can be closer to Josh's dental school. I really like the place so far....feels a lot more like home! We also were able to get the nursery set up, which is great. Here are a few pics of the new place...

Lastly, i've had a few baby showers and they were fabulous! I got lots of great stuff for baby Beckett. My fab friends threw me one last month (blogged about that earlier), the Sharp family threw me one last week and then my side threw me one today. No pictures were taken at the Sharp shower but I did get a few from the other. It's crazy to think that the next time i'll be blogging is probably going to be after the baby is born. Nuts!!

33 weeks and a Baby Shower!

Wowzer....I am 33 weeks! I can't believe it but at the same time I still have 7 whole weeks to go. Sometimes I feel like it is an eternity and this guy will never get here! Here is my 33 week pic below, how round and tubby wubby I feel :)

Last week my friends threw me a baby shower....it was fabulous! They did a great job and we all had a great time. I got tons of awesome stuff for baby Beckett, my friends are the best. You must also check out the decor/food in the pictures. They had cute cupcakes, a legit cake (Katie is the new Cake Boss), a Beckett sign, diaper tower. Thanks again friends...love you all!

And the new news....we are moving! Due to Josh being accepted to dental school & us also being really sick of Utah County....we are getting the bejeebers out of here. We found a nice older house in Sandy and we'll be moving this weekend. It's a big relief that we were able to find a bigger, more open space for us....and to find it & settle in before the babe gets here. We are lucky ducks! The new place has its pros and cons but will definitely be a better place for us these next few years. Ya'll gotta stop by some time and say hi :)

March Happenings

The past few weeks have been full of new things and adventures. Last week we went up to Logan to see our new neice get blessed, Mazee Sharp. Below is a picture of her with some of the other girl cousins. Super cute.

The big update for us is that we found a new place to move and will be moving in about 2 weeks to Sandy. As soon as we found out Josh got accepted to the dental school in Riverton we knew we would prefer to move before the baby was born. Luckily we were able to find somewhere and we are very happy with it. I'm excited to move and settle in....and finally decorate the nursery!

Then March 8th, 2011.....Poppa Stapley turned 50! Yes, the big 5-0. Not gonna lie, we were a bit nervous about the festivities because he was a bit of a downer on his 40th birthday. But we did not fail, we celebrated whether he liked it or not. Us kids decorated his office with balloons & pictures of him growin up....oh they were awesome, and we embarassed him at work. Then we went to dinner on his birthday & Trevor wore a shirt with pictures of my dad on it from the 70's & 80's. We had his family bday party that weekend. My mom made cute cupcakes and awesome M&M's (if you look close you can see that some of them have a picture of my dads face on them-when we was younger. And others had 'Todd is 50!' on them). All in all, good time, good fun, and my dad had a good attitude about it-for the most part :)

Josh got accepted to Dental School!!!!!! Mission accomplished and we are beyond excited. Josh applied to a bunch of schools & got a interview last Friday to USN (College of Southern Nevada-they are opening up a new school in South Jordan). He was beyond prepared for his interview & rocked it. He got a call the next Thursday from the admissions committee & they offered him a spot for their Fall 2011 Inaugural Class.

We are so excited especially because we get to stay here in Utah. It would have been a good experience to go out of state, but i'd rather be close to family with the new baby on the way. I am so proud of Josh, he knew what he wanted and went for it full force. So....in 4 years we'll have a dentist in the family :)

House Projects

I love house projects, makes me feel accomplished once their done. We had a kitchen table that was pretty scuffed up and looking worn. Instead of trying to find a new one we decided to fix it up. Josh & I sanded all of the painted parts down (table legs & chairs) and then painted them a dark red to match our kitchen. It was a process but we are very satisfied with the ending product. What can I say, we're the next Mr. & Mrs. Martha Stewart....Here is how it turned out:

I also got my modge podge itch and completed the last item for baby's room. I bought & painted a shelf to match the colors in his room-then I modge podged his name. I guess if you didn't know what name we had decided on previously, the cat is now out of the bag :)

So this week in the Sharp household my husband turned from a sweet man to a serial killer ;) joking, joking. He is still sexy.

Okay, so Josh heard about donations Bic was giving for everyone that shaved their head (bic4good.com). If you send in a picture of your head shaved they are donating $40 to Make A Wish Foundation, if you upload a video then they will donate $400. So Josh being Josh, he bic'd his head. Luckily he has a nice round noggin so he doesn't look bad.

29 Weeks

This weekend we got to go to dinner with the whole Stapley clan. The Arizona-dwellers came into town for the annual ski trip (we didn't go-i'm pregs & Josh worked). It was fun and good as always to see everyone.

P.S. I want to give a shout out to my Uncle D....he is an avid reader of our blog :) haha. Also, i'm not sure why my dad decided to stuff his napkin in his nose for these pictures below....so just feel free to disregard that.

Super Bowl 2011

Super bowl sunday....always a good time at the Stapley House.

We attended the now annual party-had nummy food, visited with fam, and had a good time watching the game.

I also am the worse decision maker ever I think. Therefore, I had an anonymous poll that I made my family take on our baby name options. Helped a lot actually, now the question is how many times will I change my mind before the little guy comes? haha. Who knows....at least ten times probably.

The Joys of Pregnancy

Clearly, i've never been pregs before and I wanted to share with you all of the joys (or not so joyful things) i've experience, and begun to experience. I must say its been a ride, its something new almost everyday, most of them make me laugh. For all my buds that haven't been prego yet, here are some things you get to look forward to.....:)

-Losing about 75% of your wardrobe. Or wearing your normal clothes and having your shirts be too short in the front.....or doing the 'elastic band' trick with your jeans. Good times.

-Needing a nap every afternoon, whether you have time or not.

-Getting out of breath easily....as in walking up half a flight of stairs.

-Frequent....and I mean FREQUENT bathroom breaks. We're talking 10 minutes after I lie down to bed or not ever making it through a work out at the gym without a potty break. People say this comes and goes, or just happens in the 3rd trimester. Nope, I've enjoyed this the whole time!

-Enduring the stares of people for a few weeks or months, deciding if you look fat or pregnant. Luckily I just got out of this stage....and now look pregnant. Phew.

-Being a cry baby. We're talking i'm on the treadmill at the gym watching Oprah....and I tear up, counting to 10 multiple times so that I don't really start crying. This has happened more than once. I'd say its a 50/50 chance of me crying while watching Oprah these days.

-Not fitting through small spaces. Example: people were working on a big printer/scanner in a hall at work. They moved so I could get through, nope, still couldn't fit. They laughed and moved the printer for me. Haha, this is probably not only due to my belly, but also my Stapley bubble butt i've been so lucky to have. Now i've got bumps on both sides....no tight spaces for me. Thanks pops :)

-Cravings. Now I haven't really had the 'typical' pregnancy cravings. The only thing I crave sometimes are oranges. Other than that, I want the foods that i've always had cravings for because their 'off limits'....girls, you feel me here....fries, chips, fried foods in general, chocolate. The usual.

-And one of the best pregnancy experiences, feeling my baby move.....all the time. It's awesome.

24 weeks :)

I am now 24 weeks. I'm also starting to feel really pregs....yet I still have quite a while to go! As you can see below I now definitely look pregnant, sporting my baby bump now. It's crazy being pregnant, sometimes I look down at that round tummy and can't believe it. I can feel my baby boy all the time now. He's is constantly grooving and moving around. I can't wait to meet him :)

We also have started getting our nursery set up. It's so fun and I love it! Here is a picture of it as of now, we just have the furniture though, so no pics are on the wall yet. I love my sleigh bed style crib :) I'm also hoping to move to a different place by the time the baby is born, just need a bit more space since we're adding another family member. Other than baby news, we're just doing the same old. Living and working, me trying to adjust to this pregnancy and preparing for our baby boy. Before I go I do want to recommend a movie. Many of you have probably seen it, but Josh & I went and saw 'True Grit' when it first came out. I loved it.....I think ya'll need to go see it. That's it....see ya next time ;)

12/30/2010 was Josh's 26th Birthday. We woke up and he opened presents before we each headed off to work. We got to go down to Orangeville that night for a long weekend with his side of the family. We celebrated 5 birthdays (Josh, Cannon, Chewy, Liz, and Connor), had a big celebration, and also celebrated Christmas with all the siblings that weren't in Orangeville on Christmas. It was a lot of fun and good to see everyone. Our nephew, Cannon got baptized on Saturday which was awesome; and our other neice, Kaylie, is getting baptized next Saturday. There is always something going with the big Sharp family.

Oh and I almost forgot! While we were in Orangeville I had my first hunting experience! Hard to believe I know. I tagged along with Josh & his brother on the last day of the Elk hunt. Unfortunately, we didn't get much of anywhere in the mountains because it was after the snowstorm and the truck couldn't make it too far. But regardless, at least I can now say i've been hunting.

Christmas 2010

Christmas is the best time of year....I think most of us agree. We had our annual Chistmas Eve party with the Stapley's. We opened presents at our place Christmas morning....then went and did Christmas at my parents house & had the big Christmas dinner at gma & gpa Pete's. So fun. Christmas is the best. And.....next Christmas we'll be a family of 3 :)

I'm 20 weeks....yahoo! You can see below I finally have a little baby bump. I was very excited to be 20 weeks so that we could find out the gender of our little one. The ultrasound was crazy for us. It was incredible to see our little baby on the screen. The ultrasound tech had a hard time getting good pictures because our baby is a mover. But we did find out the gender.....we are having a BOY!!! Due May 10th, 2011 :) :)

Ugly Sweater Reunion

My high school group of friends FINALLY got together for a little Ugly Sweater Party Reunion. It was great to see everyone. We had a good time....however neither Josh or I won the ugly sweater contest. Let's just hope we can all get together again soon...hint hint guys ;) 4 years is way too long!

Yay! Josh is now officially done with his Bachelor's Degree! I couldn't be happier and of course, he couldn't be happier to be done with this chapter. He got his Bachelors of Science & Biology at UVU. He's like me though....he's spent his college career at Snow College, Utah State University, and finally Utah Valley University. To celebrate I hosted a family dinner at our place. It turned out good, but you don't realize how little space you have until you're trying to fit 15 people in comfortably for dinner. And being a lame-o I forgot to take a few pictures.

Unfortunately, Josh doesn't get to be in the clear yet. Getting his Bachelor's is only one step in his final goal....graduating from Dental School. We're still waiting to hear back from all the school's he has applied to. We are unsure of all the details of our future for the next few years but we know at some point its going to involve Dental School. Yay for more school ;) We just keep telling outselves it will all be worth it in the end!

New York City

I'm am the luckiest girl. For my graduation, as well as my aunts (she got her Masters) she took all of the girls on a trip to NYC! I was super excited and got to cross it off my life's to do list. We stayed in a hotel right next to Times Square.

We did lots of shopping, of course.

We saw the Statue of Liberty....freezing!

Took a tour all around the city, saw Harlem, museums, Central Park, Ground Zero, Empire State Building, Chinatown, Little Italy, etc. etc.

Went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Shopped at Macy's (Nations biggest deparment store).

Ate dinner in Little Italy, fabulous.

Met lots of funny people.

16 Weeks!

Yes, its true....I am now just over 16 weeks along. You can see my tummy picture below. As you can see I still don't have a real baby bump....just look chubby....love it ;) We find out what the gender is at my 20 week appointment, which they refused to set before Christmas, so the big announcement will happen on Dec 28th, I can't wait!!!

Thanksgiving Time

This year we went to my side for Thanksgiving. We were SUPPOSED to start off our day like last year (running a 5K)...but that didn't happen. And I was glad because it was freeeeeezing! However, we still got some physical activity in. My dad set up a Turkey Bowl game and it turned out quite good.....and funny. My mom and I just drove over to watch, take pics, film. It turned out to be a good game. My dad's team lost....so now they want revenge....next year.

We went to my Grandma Stape's for Thanksgiving dinner...it was delicious! Then we headed to the Petersen side for dessert....our typical routine. It was a good day, I got stuffed, also heard some pregnancy horror stories-that's always a good time.

We also got lots of shopping and playing in....using up our vacation weekend well. It was mine & Joshs' first time doing some Black Friday shopping. We went at midnight and seriously....people were going insane. I think they all lost their minds. Needless to say I will not go back again next year!

Christmas Crafting

I got my craft itch again....this time I got to satisfy it with crafts for my absolute favorite time of year....Christmas! I made some mini-christmas trees....they turned out cute and weren't hard at all. Seriously...took me about an hour.

If you'd like to try it out here is how:

-Prep: buy 2-3 foam cones in different sizes, 5-6 pieces of scrapbook paper cut 1" wide/2" long, silver pins, bows/etc for the top of the tree

-Start with the base of the cone. Take one strip of paper folding it in half-pinning the top of the paper (where the two ends meet) to the cone. Repeat in rows until you get all the way to the top (alternating the different kinds/colors of paper).

-When you get to the top you can add ribbon, star, bow, whatever you want as your tree topper.

-Vwalla! You're finished! Super easy just like I said!

Oh Romeo. My cute dog got a little too shaggy and was starting to look homeless so we finally got him to the dog groomers. His hair grows so dang fast that we told them to make it really short all over. Big no no. haha.

After work I went to pick him up and I wasn't sure if that was even my dog! Poor Romeo looks like a rat with really long skinny legs and huge ears. I literally stared and laughed at him for about a half hour after I brought him home. We made him ugly but I still love him :) He has so little hair now that he shivers in our house so I had to buy him a doggy sweater. lol, if you ever meet Romeo I promise he is the cutest dog you'll ever see when his hair is longer! We're having a baby!

Yes, you read it right...we are having a baby! We are so excited and can't wait to welcome baby Sharp. I'm due May 13th and I have a feeling that it's going to get here a lot sooner than I expect.

We waited until my 12-week appointment to tell anyone, to make sure the baby was healthy and everything was rolling smoothly. Once we got the thumbs up we let the secret out. It was really exciting and I think most everyone was completely shocked. My side of the family was probably the most suprised, probably because i'm the oldest kid, no grandkids or great grandkids yet so it's the first!

Our 12-week appoint was fun. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat and it was a little surreal. I almost didn't feel pregnant until that day because I didn't feel different and I certainly wasn't showing yet...but once I heard the little heart beat it all became reality. So yeah, that leads me to the topic of pregnancy. I have been totally lucky, no sickness or anything! I was only a tiny bit nausiated for a few weeks, but i've never thrown up or anthing. The only difference is i've been a lot more hungry. I don't really crave anything crazy, just random stuff like waffles. Mostly, its just that certain things aren't good to me anymore....like cereal. Anyways, thats the update! 13 weeks down.....27ish to go!

Halloween

On Halloween we continue the Stapley family tradition by going to my parents house, having some dinner, and enjoying the trick-or-treating festivities. I dressed up as Michael Jackson (R.I.P.) and Josh dressed up as a member of KISS....it was fun. I'll never get to old to dress up, and luckily I married a man who loves it just as much.

Unfortunately, we had a negitive turn of events at our party. My grandma Pete showed up complaining about chest and body pains (all symptoms of a heart attack), it took a while of convincing because she didn't want to miss the party (that's my grandma for ya!). But we finally got her to go to the E.R. She ended up having to stay overnight at the hospital while they ran a bazillion tests. I guess they all came up negitive so she was able to go home today. Get feeling better grandma! (P.S. check out the picture of Romeo....we put him in the pirate costume....so adorable). In other news, Josh is still as busy as one can be juggling school and work. Luckily he has just over a month before he graduates and then we'll finally get some more time together and he'll get to breathe a little easier.

Fall Festivities

Fall is such a fun time of year. I love the weather and upcoming holidays, Josh loves the football, makes for a happy household :)

Last weekend my fam came down and we went to this farm place in Pleasant Grove. They had a petting zoo, potato sack slide, corn maze, etc. We enjoyed ourselves walking around and then did the corn maze at the end. We made it out of the corn maze successfully, which i was proud of, beacuse usually I find a shortcut and give up.

Can't wait for Halloween next week....love dressing up!

Snow College Alumni

We visited one of my most favorite places this weekend....Ephraim, UT! I loved my 2 years at Snow College, loved them. Josh & I went to the Homecoming football game-it turned out to be a great game and Josh had a good time getting to see all of his old coaches again. After the game we went to Fat Jacks (it's called Roy's now), for some delicious pizza. You can't ask for a better Snow College visit than that.

The rest of the weekend we spent in Orangeville. There is a new addition to the Sharp family, the adorable baby Parly. We went to her baby blessing on Sunday and spent the day hanging out with the family. It was a great weekend.....and now it's almost real life time starting tomorrow. Yuck.

Goodbye Dwain

Yes, it's true, our tiny fury hampster friend Dwain has found a new home. We had a good time with Dwain, sometimes, and it was time for him to take the next step.

Truth be told we got the hamster when we thought we couldn't get a dog. Then, of course, a month later we got the okay to get Romeo and then we were stuck with Dwain. Let's admit it, we're not hamster people, and thats okay. That is why we found a new home for him.

Dwain, have a good and fufilling life. Long live the Dwainster.

Wreath Making

I caught my crafting bug again, this time I decided to make a fall wreath. It's super easy, here is how:

1. Bend a wire coat hanger into a circle.
2. Buy floral leaves (fall colors or whatever you want), cut the leaves into smaller stems.
3. Place the leaves on the hanger and secure with floral tape or a brown string.
4. Continue securing more leaves on the hanger in the same direction.
5. Repeat until it's at your desired thickness.
6. Shazam, your done :)

Our 1st Anniversary

I can't believe it's already been a whole year since we got hitched! It's gone by oh so fast, but not at the same time.

Today we celebrated in style, visiting the SLC Temple where we were married and Memory Grove where our reception was. It was fun going back and walking down memory lane. We ended off the night with a nice dinner out. As you notice we took a picture holding up the 'number 1'. I decided that every anniversary we are going to hold up the number of years and put it in our 'anniversary album'. Then lets say, when we're 50, 60, 70.... we can look back and see all of the years that we've celebrated and how very old we have gotten ;)

With that said-marriage has been an amazing experience. Of course it has its tough times of adjustment but it is very rewarding. I definitely married my best friend and made the best decision of my life on this very day last year. One year down, a bazillion to come :)

Camping

This weekend some of the Sharps planned a camp trip up in Logan because some of the guys wanted to hunt for Grouse. My parents were also in Florida during that weekend, Josh & I were watching Bree for the weekend and so we took her along. It was A LOT colder that I expected, got below freezing in the night. Luckily, we got to sleep in this big tent with a stove so it kept us nice and warm. While we were there we spent a lot of time around the campfire, Josh showed us how to shoot some guns, and we went on a hike and looked at the beautiful landscape-you can see for forever out there!!

Labor Day Weekend

Who doesn't love a 3 day weekend? I know that I certainly have enjoyed it and the day off. Josh and I didn't go out of town so we decided to keep busy and plan some fun stuff.

Josh's old mission companion, Elder Pak, and his wife met up with us on Saturday. We went on a hike up behind our place in Pleasant Grove and then got some Korean food. I have to say, the more i'm exposed to Korean food the more I like it! Later that day Josh's mission president gave us some extra tickets to the BYU game, we were stoked! Although i'm definitely not a BYU fan i've been wanting to get to a game, as has Josh, so we were more than happy to accept them. On top of that his old mission pres is a season ticket holder so we got free passes to this VIP tent before the game, got free food and treated very well before and during the game-our day couldn't have turned out better!

Then today, Monday, we went to Hogel Zoo! It was way fun and the weather was perfect. I hadn't been to the zoo in years so it was good to go back. However, I sorta felt out of place being there without dragging 2 or more kids around in a stroller! ha, it was super busy but a good way to end our weekend holiday.

Mission Accomplished: P90X

I did it-finished day 90 of P90X on Saturday. I have heard so much about it, as most of us had, and thought i'd give it a try. I'm pretty sceptical of this sorta stuff but Josh had done it last summer so he had all the equipment.

Well here are my thoughts on the program-it's definitely a good work out but for a girl it's got a little too much lifting and not quite enough cardio. I actually thought I was going to gain weight once I started because I was used to doing a lot more cardio. I was suprised that after all said and done I weigh exactly the same as when I started! Ha, i wish I could have lost some weight but i'm not sure it's a big fat burner workout. If you're wanting to gain more muscle mass....go for it. If you're wanting to just tone and lose some fat i'd do the Lean program or add more cardio to the regular program. So thats my critique and suggestion :)

The Lion King

Last Tuesday I got to go to see, The Lion King, in Salt Lake with all the girls on my moms side. It was sooooo good!! It is by far my most favorite broadway play. The music, props, everything....were awesome. I recommend you all go and see it if you have the chance!

Another crazy weekend

I can't believe how busy Josh & I have been this summer. We literally have had one or two weekends at home...it's nuts! It's been fun though and we have certainly done a ton of fun stuff. You gotta live up the summer, because before too long winter comes around.

This last weekend was Dustin & Liz's reception in Orangeville. We worked all day long preparing for the reception and bbq before hand. It turned out awesome, Josh's parents backyard looked beautiful. Josh and his brothers served Cold Stone ice cream during the reception. We were all busy the entire time because I think the entire population of Emery County & Price came to the reception ;)

The next day we headed all the way from Orangeville up to Ogden for a bridal shower and to celebrate my grandmas birthday. Happy Birthday gma Pete! It's also my momma's birthday this Tuesday....all us girls are going to see the 'Lion King' on broadway-i'm way excited! For now, thats the update, but i'm sure there will be plenty more to come. We are squeezing the most out of summer that we can.

Reunion!

Most of my friendsies from high school finally got together...long overdue. We went bowling and had some pizza. It was a blast. We started right where we left off. It makes me laugh because I remember when we were in high school and would talk about growing up and how we would still see each other all the time. I wish that were the case, but life is so dang busy!! Needless to say we still do find time to see each other, even if it's not as often as we predicted when we were wee 18 year olds. BFF4E!

Stapley Family Vacation

My moms side of the family goes on a vacation every year, this year was Park City. We did A LOT while we were there, it was a blast.

First of all the arts festival was going on, so we definitely hit that up a few times, saw lots of cool stuff.

Secondly, we FINALLY got to go on our hot air balloon ride! We had tried 2 times before that and it was too windy both times. My grandma came with us when we were to Park City and I think she was our good luck charm. It was amazing, I definitely recommend it to anyone. I thought I would be scared, considering i'm afraid of heights, but it actually wasn't bad. My husband is the best for planning this! Now I get to check one thing off of my bucket list.

We also went to a concert at Deer Valley while we were there, it was a good time. Everybody got up and danced-including my grandma and dad-you can't go wrong with that.

Dustin & Liz's Wedding

Friday, July 30th Josh's older brother Dustin got married to Elizabeth. It was a great wedding, at the SLC Temple. It was really fun because Elizabeth is related to Elder Dallin H. Oaks and he was the one that performed their marriage ceremony. There wedding was in the morning, and then we went to the Luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Dustin & Liz left for an Alaskan cruise the day after and their reception will be held in Orangeville in a few weeks! Here are some pics from the day:

24th of July Weekend

We had a bit of an exciting weekend celebrating the 24th of July. (If you have a weak stomach I would advise you to not look at the pictures below)

We went to the Ogden Rodeo with my family & grandparents on Friday night.

Saturday my dad, Josh, & I went mountain biking. It didn't end as well as i'd hoped. We were almost done when I was riding around a corner and had slowed down because it was a rockier part of the trail. Unfortunately I was too far on the left side of the trail (on the left side there was a drop off to a hill full of rocks). Anyways, after slowing I had no stability and no where to put my left leg and ended up toppling off the side of the trail. Josh heard me yell and came back. Long story short, ended up in the Instacare to get my first set of stitches in my shin. Four stitches later I came out with a sexy pink bandage. Apparently, I still need to work on my mountain biking abilities :)

We spent the rest of the day with my family as planned, went to Raging Waters. This didnt' end up being much fun for me because I wasn't allowed to get wet due to the new stitches. Then we had a delicious rib dinner at my parents. Next year i'll try to enjoy the 24th withOUT the stitches:)

After 6 years, Felicia is dead!!!!! yes yes yes! (Don't worry, Felicia isn't a person or an animal). I have fought with this Felicia for years and she has finally decided to die. I couldn't be happier.

Weekend of Randomness

This weekend didn't turn out like we expected. We had planned to go on a hot air balloon ride Saturday morning (we tried going on my birthday but had to reschedule due to winds). So anyways, Josh called the morning of (5:30 am, we had to be there at 6:30 am in Park City), and the man said everything was great and to come on up. So we listened, and drove up to Park City and met up with about 15 other people who were ready to ride as well. The man shows up, gathers us around, and tells us the winds are too fast-yet again-and it's cancelled. Josh and I were so mad! This was 2 times in one week, my hopes were dashed. So we were sitting there in Park City at 6:30am in the morning with nothing to do because we were meeting my mom & Bree later so we had to stay. We ended up walking down Main St and window shopping as well as checking out some of the super cool old houses up there, as well as shopping at the outlets. Didn't end up turning out half bad.

We picked up Bree to stay the weekend with us, we had a blast & she loved playing with Romeo all weekend. Saturday we went to the 16th Annual Llama Fest in Spanish Fork. Super random event, glad we went (Trev & Char tagged along as well). We knew it was going to be weird-I mean, it was a festival celebrating Llamas. Therefore, because of the weird event we dressed up in equally weird clothes. It made for a good time. Bree had fun, she fed the Llamas, we watched a Llama obstacle course, and a competition on which Llama looked the best. Oh yes, and I need to tell you about the Llama races. Those were hilarious, they lined all the participating Llamas up, and had a leash thing around their kneck & head with a volunteer holding onto the leash. Basically, the winner of the race depended on which volunteer could drag their Llama by the face the fastest. Oh man, those Llamas...

It turned out to be a good weekend-definitely random-but fun!

23 years ago I was born.

My brother and I celebrated our 23rd birthday yesterday. I can't believe we're getting so old...I still feel like a kid, and shoot-act like one too! My wonderful husband planned a whole day of fun for me. It started off with a hot air balloon ride above park city......NOT. Actually we drove up there and when we arrived they told us that the winds were too fast on the peaks to go. So, we rain checked that for this Saturday.

After that didn't go our way we went to the pool and relaxed in the sun after having a BBQ. Josh & I have a mutual love for this cute little food place in Provo called J-Dawgs...it's a college student staple. He suprised me and got all of the supplies the night before and he BBQ'd it all up for me, delicious! We went down a few of the water slides at the pool and it reminded me of my wussyness. Oh yes, then before we headed out we got some AMAZING snow cones (Katie, Lauren-my hawaiian vacation friends....their just as good as the snow cones in Hawaii, maybe better-go try one!)

That night my family got together for dinner at Ruths Diner (Featured on my fav show, 'Diner's Drive-in's and Dives). It's super cute and super nummy. Then we went to Sugarhouse Park to open presents and have dessert. Trevor and I both got spoiled, like always! Now that i'm married I have two families and got the birthday treatment at Josh's Parents house as well! Spoiled, spoiled, spoiled.

We celebrated the 4th the way we always do (the best way): watching the Centerville parade, going to the park afterwards, eating all-american BBQ'd foods, and finished it off with some fireworks. All in all, a good time, a good day, and I love my 4th of July traditions :)

Sharp Family Reunion 2010

This year the Sharp Family Reunion was at a big cabin right next to Brighton Ski Resort. It was a lot of fun and a great location. It was good seeing everyone too, Josh has quite the big family compared to mine so it's hard to keep in touch with all of them! I believe the count is 29 at this point (compared to 7 on my side) and 2 on the way!

While we were there we went biking, fishing, walked around this lake that was right by the cabin, horseshoe tourny (we lost), played The Amazing Race with the adults (I lost, Josh's team won), and went boating. It was a good time, I can't wait to see what they have in store next year.

Josh & I made a life changing discovering last Saturday, yes, life changing. I am related to my father, Todd Stapley, who we discovered was in the Layton Museum (yeah, he's old enough to be in a museum....haha), therefore, by default i'm famous because my dad is famous.

Confused? ha, so Josh & I are starting to become museum lovers and we dropped by the Layton Museum last weekend. It's got all the typical museum stuff: antiques, pictures, old clothes, etc. etc. Then almost as we were walking out 2 trophies caught my eye. They were from 1978 (not so antiqueish or museumish) and it was the Layton High State Championship trophy. I thought, hey, my dad went to Layton High and won state, and it was around that time. So i looked closer and there was my papa's name on the trophy. haha, I thought it was funny, made my day. If you're in the area, go check out the Layton Museum and touch the trophy ;)

Here is a little story about the life of Josh & Taylor:

Found a great apartment in a cute neighborhood called Pleasant Grove.

Moved all of our things into this cute apartment.

Hung all the pictures on the wall, organized everything, it was perfect.

Taylor & Josh left for Centerville and stayed overnight until Sunday.

Returned Sunday morning, after living in new apartment for a week.

Was welcomed with 4+ inches of water in entire apartment.
Yep, thats the story of the flood. Apparently our washer became disconnected somehow and shot out water for almost 24 hours without anyone knowing. So far, we have been living on Trevor's couch for a week. We were supposed to be able to move back in already-until yesterday when we got the news that they have to replace the baseboards so our new date is NEXT Friday. It's so sad! Besides the fact that we really have nowhere to live for 2 weeks, all of our stuff is EVERYWHERE....just sitting in the garage, outside under a tarp, inside the house of the owners. Please just wake us up when the nightmare is over! And again, i'll post the pictures of it once I am able to reach my laptop.

On a good note: we sold Josh's Tahoe and bought a new SUV! It's a Saturn Vue and I love it!

Bridal Shower

Last weekend I threw a bridal shower for my brother's fiance, Charlee. We had it at my parent's house outside on the deck and it ended up being super cute :) We decorated it all up in their wedding colors and had a cute little dinner with adorable mini cupcakes. We played a few games-that I think turned out great. One game was our family tradition-basically you ask a question and have to guess what Charlee would answer. The other we had a bunch of different pictures of Charlee and Trevor at different ages growing up; you had to guess exactly how old they were in the picture. Charlee got a bunch of cute stuff and the countdown is officially on...their wedding is in less than 2 weeks! I can't believe my little brother is getting married ;)

P.S. Our apartment got flooed (i.e. the next post) so i'll be posting pictures once I we get situated again.

Wow....the last week has been SO crazy! We spent out Memorial Day running all over the place and we finally made it and moved into our new apartment. It was crazy for a few days, especially because I was sick (yet again) but somehow we managed to put the house together. I really like it here so far, we live in a cute little neighborhood and it feels much more like home now. I still really want a dog but Dwain is alright for now :)

Josh is studying for the D.A.T. like crazy, which he is taking at the end of June. I can't wait until it's over! It will be like having a new de-stressed husband. Just pray that all goes well!

On another note, which is crazy, my twinner is getting married in like three weeks! How crazy is that. The Stapley family is going through BIG changes this year! My little sis is turning 15 next week too....holy cow! Her turning 15 makes me feel old....i'll be the big 23 next month. My body is already starting to ache, same with Josh's, I bet by the time we turn thirty we'll be needing a cane ;) haha, yeah right! We have made it our 'couple hobby' to train for triathlons, however, I think that the first step will be to live through our first one!

Our Newest Addition

We recently added another member to the newly formed Sharp family (no....don't get too excited....no baby Sharp's yet).

.........it's a hampster! His name is Dwain.

What I REALLY wanted was a puppy, which i've had my heart set on getting for at least 2 years....but i'm not allowed to get one due to where we live. Someday.... someday i'll have a puppy named Bucket.

Which brings me to our other big news-WE'RE MOVING! We have been wanting to get out of our one-bedroom apartment for a while and a great opportunity popped up so we took it. It's a completely remodeled basement apartment in Pleasant Grove, much more spacious and in a cute little neighborhood. And the best part? There are 2 chickens living in the backyard! Yep, chickens, so we will be getting fresh eggs every morning. We're moving in on Monday and I couldn't be happier to be getting out of busy Orem.

And the last of the news. We officially started our P90X program two weeks ago. I've been wanting to try it for a while now (Josh did the full program last summer). We took the 'before' shots and everything. If my 'after' shots don't look amazing I will totally sue the inventer of P90X. But on top of that Josh & I are training for a Triathlon, which is July 10th. All of that is pretty grueling....I currently can't walk, and neither can Josh. We look like we're 80 when we walk. Good times...

Orangeville Adventures

This weekend we came down to Orangeville to visit Josh's family. We had a fun time and were able to go see some old indian drawings on the rock walls (they say their from 2000-1000 years ago). Then we went and saw the swinging bridge which is a little further in the dessert. It was built in the 1930's-I guess they call it the swinging bridge because when people used to drive over it, it would sway. Not sure I would feel comfortable driving acrossed a swaying bridge!

Sugarland & Motha's Day

Last weekend we went to the Sugarland concert-it was awesome! Sugarland was great with the audience and they were amazing live. Julianne Hough opened for them, and someone that was on American Idol last year but I forgot his name...

Then, as we know, that Sunday was Mother's Day. We did our traditional Brunch & hung out with the fam.
